I received this email today and thought I would pass it on. This would be a good way to get your name out there if you are looking to play at the college level.
Good Morning,
My name is Laura Streets and I work for a small camp company called College Coaches Skills Camp. We’ve been running sport camps all over the country since 2003.
College Coaches Skills Camp was founded by college coaches and currently employs former college coaches at the helm of all of our major sports. Combined we have 61 years of collegiate coaching experience. We stay up to date with all NCAA rules.
I am reaching out to you today to let you know that we are hosting a few events in your area. First, on Saturday, November 4th, 2017 in St. Louis, MO at Fontbonne University and second, on Sunday, November 12th, 2017 in Pittsburg, KS at Pittsburg State University. Current college coaches from the University of Kansas, Purdue University, University of Arkansas Fayetteville, University of Detroit Mercy, Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Adrian College, Fontbonne University, Pittsburg State University, and possibly others will be in attendance at one or both of the events. You can see information about this event as well as our entire fall line-up at
www.CollegeSoftballProspects.com.As a former 10-year Division I college coach I understand the importance of building relationships in the recruiting process. The events bring local, regional and sometimes national college coaches in to instruct at our events. The college coaches work with attending players in a small group environment. We never exceed an 8:1 ratio for players to college coaches. Most of our events have a 6:1 ratio. This allows for the girls to interact with the coaches all day, help them put a face to a name so their correspondence to coaches help them stand out, as well as gain invaluable instruction from some of the best coaches currently in the country. The coaches run the event as they would their own practices.
Some of the greatest feedback we get comes from the 1-hour discussion on college athletics we have at every one of our events from 11am-12pm. This is an opportunity for our coaches to clear up misinformation about the recruiting process as well as give you a little insight into what they are looking for in prospects. High school, club, travel and youth coaches are always able to attend our events FREE OF CHARGE and learn new drills, bend the ear of the coaches on site, as well as ask questions during the discussion.
Please note that they are not able to converse with players who are not registered participants for the event. If you do have players that would be interested, please forward the website along to them
